Morris Arboretum Wedding

We love the Morris Arboretum and you’re going to love the way your wedding sounds with Philly Custom DJ.

We’ve been DJing weddings at the Arboretum since 2013. Let us handle the music and sound from the prelude to the last dance. Take advantage of our experience!

Ceremony

Your wedding ceremony at the Morris Arboretum can take place in one of a few locations, the Azalea Meadow, Baxter Memorial or Pennock Garden. The Azalea Meadow if deep inside the park, pretty far from the entrance. The Baxter Memorial has a brick floor which might be easier to stand on, particularly if you’re wearing heels. It’s also a nice spot for a group photo after the ceremony. Pennock Garden is a lovely setting for a wedding ceremony, but we need to do it on battery power. In all locations, we are able to provide quality sound so people can hear the officiant no matter how far away the guests are from the ceremony. We’re also careful to keep the speakers hidden so they don’t appear in your wedding pictures.

Ceremony at the Baxter Memorial

We stay off to the side – hiding in the bushes!
It’s also a great spot for a group photo after the ceremony!

Pennock Garden

If you do your ceremony at the Pennock Garden, we set up a battery-powered system off to the side so it doesn’t interfere with the view or the pictures, but all the guests can hear the ceremony.

What if it rains?

In that case we set up the ceremony in the tent.

Cocktail Hour

Your cocktail hour at the Morris Arboretum can take place in front of the main building in Widener Plaza or in the tree house called Out on a Limb. We will work with you to create the perfect pre-mixed cocktail hour soundtrack, and set up a sound system in the location you choose.

Testimonials

Alison Married May 5, 2018

“Adam at Philly Custom DJ truly went above and beyond to make our wedding day personalized to us. I had a very specific idea of how I envisioned the soundtrack of the day going and I went looking for a DJ that would take all my wants and ideas into mind when creating the playlists for our wedding day…

…Adam not only understood what we were looking for, he encouraged us, worked through our requests with us and shared so many of his favorite playlists he thought we would enjoy and get inspiration from.”

Jessica Married July 6, 2018

“Out of everyone we worked with during the planning process, Adam was by far the most responsive and easiest to communicate with. He helped us put together music lists that we and our guests loved, getting to know us and adding in great personal touches. Once the dancing started at our reception, it continued until the very end of the night, with our guests chanting for more! I couldn’t be happier with this DJ.”

Should we rent a dance floor for our wedding at the Morris Arboretum?

Only if one of your guests is gonna bust moves like this guy!

We’ve been rocking the Morris Arboretum since 2013

Our first time at Morris Arboretum was in October 2013. It was a lively wedding where a speech from the brother of the bride turned into a flash mob. The playlist was great – it was the first and only time I played Raffi – Baby Beluga at a wedding. Check out the actual playlist at Serato.com, and the video highlight reel made by Valley Creek Productions.

We still rock the Morris Arboretum
