80s Dance Party - I learned from the best!
In my formative years as a DJ, I used to frequent the Loop Lounge in Passaic, NJ on Wednesday nights. From the 80s until at least 2008, Wednesday nights were 80s dance party nights. Presiding over it was DJ Ted Wrigley. He was able to rock the crowd, seamlessly transition between genres and keep a dance floor moving until closing time...on a Wednesday!
This mix is based on a setlist that Ted spun back in 2007. So, it's an idealization of the 80s from over a decade ago. The only contemporary track that made it into the set was An Honest Mistake by The Bravery. But it fit in well with the Loop Lounge vibe.
So, enjoy!
