The families came to Blue Heron Pines ready to celebrate after witnessing the ceremony at St. Joan of Arc earlier that day. The cocktail hour was in a covered tent near the main ballroom. The cocktail hour mix set the right atmosphere as guests enjoyed the crudité, passed hors d’oeuvres, Guinness, and the Philly Station with cheesesteaks and pretzels! The reception was fun and energetic – we even managed to squeeze the photo booth into the main ballroom!

Usually, a couple will pick the last song or two or three of their wedding night. We refer to this as the Closers Set. Sometimes a couple picks out the last four songs. But for this wedding, the couple picked the last six songs, and it was a smash hit!

People got out of their seats and started walking toward the dance floor while singing along.
5th From Last – Can’t Help Falling in Love-Elvis Presley
Couples of all ages grabbed each other by the hand and had a nice, romantic, slow dance.
4th From Last – You Shook Me All Night Long-AC/DC
The song is instantly recognizable from the first guitar chord. That gives people enough time to draw in a breath and yell out, “Yeah!”

The bride and groom got on a plane for Ireland the next day. They would be there for St. Patrick’s Day.
