Indian Spring Country Club Wedding

Multi-Cultural Wedding With Style

This wedding at the Indian Spring Country Club celebrated the union of an Indian bride and Korean Groom. It was planned at a distance: the bride and groom live in California, but the wedding was held in New Jersey, close to the bride’s family. All the meetings and conversations took place over the phone or using Google Hangouts for video conferencing. The bride wanted to include some Bollywood hits and provided a list of songs that she and her family like. The groom’s music was from his college days where he and his friends used to host excellent parties. The combination made the wedding a memorable experience for everyone involved.

Cocktail Hour and Ceremony

A cousin of the bride facilitated a ceremony that included elements of Indian and Korean heritage.

Cocktail Hour

Reception

Even though it’s not his native tongue, the groom serenaded his bride with an Indian song called Soniyo.

The Most Epic First Dance Ever!

The first dance was well choreographed, dynamic, and memorable.

Projecting The Slideshow

There was an adorable video montage that told the story of the romance between the bride and groom and how they arrived at their wedding day.  It was projected on our huge screen which was set up behind the DJ station.

Check out the size of the screen! This picture was taken from the far corner of the room. The screen was clearly visible from every seat in the room.

Indian Spring Country Club Wedding Playlist

While preparing for this wedding, we were exposed to some really great Indian music.  The slow songs are passionate, and the dance songs are energetic.  Toward the end of the wedding, a lot of the relatives came over to request an Indian song that wasn’t on our list.

Every Gujarati wedding ends with a traditional dance called Garba.  A cousin of the bride was able to get hold of an mp3 of the appropriate music, which he was able to forward me from his cell phone.  The guests danced in a circle for the entire twenty two minute long song which brought us to the close of the wedding.
